LEGO Digital Designer is a freeware computer program that lets you build models with virtual LEGO bricks. Digital Designer uses an approach similar to computer-aided design (CAD) programs, meaning you can build whatever you can imagine, right on your computer. For big kids out there, this program is basically a digital version of the famous LEGO box of bricks and pieces.
LEGO Digital Designer is a free software download that lets you build models with virtual LEGO bricks. The software was produced by the LEGO Group as a part of LEGO Design byME, a now-defunct service that people could use to order their own LEGO creations for delivery as actual models. The LCC software is easy to download from the Softonic website.
Mindstorms, in contrast, are available for programmable robots, based on Lego building blocks. In this mode, you can access hundreds of virtual LEGO MindStorms and Technic elements that help you design your robot model from scratch.
This version has increased stability and a brand new set of LEGO elements for you to build with. You can also print out an inventory of your creation and take it to any LEGOLAND theme park or LEGO Store and purchase the pieces you need to turn your virtual model into a reality!
Coding and Computational Thinking with Virtual SPIKE Prime features a programming interface and virtual robot embedded directly within the curriculum. Teachers and students can follow along with the included videos, animations, challenges, and step-by-step lessons. The scope and sequence of this virtual curriculum are very closely aligned to our Coding and Computational Thinking with SPIKE Prime curriculum for physical robots, allowing teachers to leverage both physical and virtual robots to best suit their needs. Over 75 programmable virtual environments are embedded throughout, allowing students to learn big ideas in robotics, coding, computational thinking, and mathematics.
RoboCamp with Virtual SPIKE Prime is a shorter, informal curriculum that teaches basic programming, proportional mathematics, robotics, and other STEM concepts at an introductory level. RoboCamp is designed with carefully scaffolded virtual activities appropriate for both formal and informal educational settings. All of the activities and challenges use a custom virtual SPIKE Prime build in a space-like environment. Get ready for take-off!
The Introduction to Programming with Virtual LEGO EV3 curriculum features a programming interface and virtual robot embedded directly within the curriculum. Teachers and students can follow along with the included videos, animations, challenges, and step-by-step lessons designed to help beginners learn coding and computational thinking using a virtual LEGO EV3, the physical LEGO® MINDSTORMS EV3 hardware, or even a combination of both.

This retro engages our playful sides. It uses virtual Lego pieces to represent how individuals in a team feel things are going, before encouraging the team to identify to build the teams future together.
Warner Bros this week showed off Lego Dimensions, its latest videogame that mixes real-life toy play with digital gaming. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1449240174198-2'); }); Unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) trade gathering in Los Angeles, the new game comprises Lego figurines from a range of film franchises including "Batman" and "Back to the Future."Once a gamer places a toy on a special Lego plastic pedestal, it immediately comes to life as a digital character in a videogame. The gaming system, which will be available later this year, is the latest in a growing category of physical-to-virtual games known as "toys to life."Such games have proved popular in recent years with offerings such as "Skylanders" and "Disney Infinity."In the fall, Disney will launch a toys-to-life videogame based on the "Star Wars" franchise. © 2015 AFP
Though the pop-up is physically empty of everything but a plinth-posted Snapcode (the company's in-app answer to QR codes), the Snap-triggered portal allows shoppers to enter a virtual shop with an interactive DJ booth, LEGO bouncer, arcade machine, and - most importantly - exclusive products for purchase.
Altogether, the future of fashion is looking to be heavily activated by AR. Just last month, Amazon was rumoured to be working an an AR shopping app which would allow customers to virtually try clothes on from the comfort of their own home.
The festival encompasses activities for all ages, including a LEGO shipbuilding competition and a virtual tour of a LEGO model of the USS Constitution, according to the USS Constitution Museum website.
Marks added that online events such as this have been garnering more participation than in-person events before the pandemic, but the virtual setting can be difficult for children and families with limited access to technology.
Bring Minecraft to life while connecting virtually with other young Minecraft enthusiasts from the comfort of home! Last year at the height of the pandemic the Lego house is closed to the general public. However the Lego house still managed to keep people engaged during the lockdowns associated with virtual tours of the history collection.
The toyco has been very busy inking deals and rolling out new content in recent months, including a new Ninja Vlogs animated interactive series. But with the pandemic limiting toy fairs and in-person events, LEGO had fewer opportunities to show off its products, which was the impetus for planning this new virtual convention.
And then, of course, this year, the world shut down! What was a huge bummer to so many thousands of people ended up being a huge opportunity for us. Brickworld Chicago decided to move their convention online and thanks to the amazing folks at US Family Guide we were able to attend this virtual event and make a full family day out of the experience.
Due to the worldwide pandemic from COVID-19 and the restriction of large gatherings, the team behind Brickworld Chicago needed to cancel the in-person convention. Instead of forgoing any type of event in 2020 they instead decided to try a virtual event all taking place on Zoom.
Join in the fun for a LEGO virtual Halloween event on October 31, 2020! You can already purchase tickets here for only $9 for one device. This will all be done via Zoom meetings, just as Brickworld Chicago was done this last weekend. It will take place from 11 am-5 pm CT. You can find more information here.
While nothing can fully replace visiting a LEGO convention in person (something we definitely want to do someday!) I am so happy that we were able to experience Brickworld in this fashion. It allowed us to try out the idea of a convention with our kids in a convenient way and at a super affordable price. We are already discussing buying tickets for the remainder of the virtual shows because we all enjoyed Brickworld Chicago so much!
With LEGO conventions in the UK largely cancelled or postponed this year, two LEGO User Groups have teamed up to offer a virtual alternative. Bricks at Home is an online event that will bring the best builds from the LEGO community, along with workshops, presentations and social opportunities. 2b1af7f3a8
