Though it has ended, SHATO's JoJo-focused Twitter account still remains active. All of JoJo's spin-offs have also been adapted into anime, notably the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure video games, which continue to be popular. The rights to the manga have been bought by Viz Media, which began publishing the series in English in 2014.
After the news broke, fans were saddened at the site's end, and many were nostalgic and emotional to the stories that SHATO told through JoJo's various spin-offs. Following the post, a larger outpouring of fan art, videos, and other content appeared on the site, which was an online archive of the site's history. Most of the site's content has been removed, but some of the posts are still hosted on websites like Archive.org.
In 2003, SHATO created the site as a way to gather information about the series online for himself and other core JoJo fans. SHATO created the site expecting it to run out of content with the ending of Stone Ocean, but it grew larger and larger, lasting for almost 14 years. As sites such as Comic Natlie and araki-jojo.com begun appearing, SHATO felt less the need to keep updating the site. Unable to keep up with overwhelming amount of content that was brought about with the new anime, SHATO decided to cease all activities on the site, posting a farewell message on February 16, 2017.
Shortly after posting the message, SHATO was ordered by the site's server to delete the site, though he was told they would allow him to save his posts.
The site will remain up and running for now. SHATO has promised to post the site on Anime Planet for those who would like a place to go to get the most up to date news on the series. The team at Anime Planet are working on bringing the site up to date and compatible with the new format. The team has been listening to the fan feedback and positive response to the existing content. Keep an eye on Anime Planet for more information on bringing the site back up and running.
The site has been left in an abandoned state for almost a year now, but is still accessible if you want to search for the best JoJo video clips and pictures. All of the broken links are pointing to Jogos.com , which offers a Japanese JoJo website with the content.
